Dr. Monroe Mann is the founder of BreakDiving.io

I came up with the idea for Break Diving in 1999.  Over 26 years ago. 

I started the company THREE TIMES (2000, 2006, and 2015) only to see it fall apart each time. 

In 2016, I started again, this time as a not for profit. 

And 9 years later, not only are we still here, but in 3 weeks, the mobile app gets released. 

And I truly believe this is the year when it all comes together, and all the struggle proves to have been worth it. 

I know life is tough.  I know more than many (and perhaps not as much as some!)  Life is a drag.  Dreams are a pain in the butt.  People are often total let downs.  The unfairness of it all can be painful, particularly the older you get, and here I am approaching 50, and I'm STILL nowhere near where I thought I'd be by this point. 

And yet... 

I don't give up. 

I keep going. 

And 2025 is starting to feel like it's the year when it ALL finally comes together.  I've got an incredible team of talented, hard-working coders working with me to release a ton of new features over the next few months.  I am close to hiring a bunch of marketing team members to get even more people into the community.  And the Miami local city group is slowly starting to come together.  And soon... the world. 

Lesson?  Don't give up.  It's been 26 years this dream of mine has been driving forward.  26 long arduous years. 

But I think it's all going to turn out to have been worth it. 

I'm smiling.  Because Break Diving is about to launch BIG TIME. :D
