1. When and Why Did You Decide to Pursue This Dive At This Level? What was your inspiration and motivation?

Way back in 2013 as an Information System student, I aimed the possibility of becoming a web developer. So I studied the technologies needed for building a website. HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) are the foundational technologies for this subject. Since I have a background in these technologies and applied them to some of my web portfolio I decided to certify my dive in it.

2. How Long Did It Take For You To Accomplish This Dive At This Level From The Day You Decided To Pursue It, And Why Did It Take That Long?

It took so long to understand web technologies and connect them to construct a website that is safe and smoothly running. As a mere observer of web technologies from 2013 up to now,  just this year I decided to pursue it. This first Dive takes too long but the experience and knowledge are superb.

3. What Was The Hardest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

The first time you encounter the technologies for web development Is like learning a new language, so that is the hardest part for me. HTML is for Structure and CSS is for design. You also need to understand how web browsers interpret and consume the codes of these technologies. It takes time and effort to be familiar with it and the next thing is you want more of it.

4. What Was The Easiest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

There is no easy thing about achieving this dive because it takes time, and time is precious. But because of my background and the time I've spent with these technologies, it some kind of easy for me to certify this particular dive.

5. What Is Your Advice For Someone Who Is Pursuing This Dive And Level?

7. Tell Us A Story Of One Of Your Adventures While Pursuing This Dive (At This Level).

This first dive took me 6 years to make. When I graduated in 2015 and landed my first job in December of that year as an IT Specialist in a newly established human resource company after 6 months I decided to let go of my job because I burned out. After a year 2017, I suffered some mental health issues and couldn't focus on my path to success. In 2023 with the right medication and self-care, I found myself again.

In November 2023, I enrolled in 2 months of training as a Virtual Assistant from an NGO named Virtualahan Inc., ( https://virtualahan.com/ ). On January 31, 2024, I finished the training with some certificates. I began to apply for a job in 3 months but did not land in any.

I shifted my focus to Data Analysis and read a book about it to pursue it as my career. I still hunting for an online job but didn't find any.

After six months of not finding an online job as a Virtual Assistant or Data Analyst, I came to analyze myself and what I wanted to be. I came back to my old self and found out that I wanted to pursue a job in Web Development. So I downloaded a book from my favorite author of Book about web programming with a focus on Microsoft Technologies and his name is Adam Freeman. To be not stagnant while waiting for my job applications to call me back. I read about Asp.Net Core and right after I read it I developed a simple Web Application to showcase my understanding of web development and uploaded it to Github. With this portfolio on the web, I applied as a Junior Programmer on any online job board that I see I'm qualified for. Some contacted me and some did not.

Right now, I'm still unemployed but I have a couple of apps to develop this coming last 2 months of the year and to be ready for my next application probably next year.

Luckily, I found Volunteermatch.org clicked on the volunteer option, found the BreakDiving post on there, and Here I am making my first Dive!
