1. When and Why Did You Decide to Pursue This Dive At This Level? What was your inspiration and motivation?

I never expected that I will decide to study nursing in my entire life. 5 years ago when the time had come to choose my profession at the university programs, I didn’t find anything to choose. My whole life I was just thinking about being a game designer, which we don’t have here in my country. I didn’t realize that until that moment that I couldn’t pursue game design at my university.

After that, I felt so sad and I didn’t know what to choose. My mom recommended nursing for me because I can earn more money and for the job opportunities here and outside my country. So I buckled up and chose this wonderful career by chance.

2. How Long Did It Take For You To Accomplish This Dive At This Level From The Day You Decided To Pursue It, And Why Did It Take That Long?

It took me one year to apply, get accepted, and learn the basics of nursing. It’s an overwhelming career because of the massive and limitless amount of knowledge and experience that you have to use every day and all of the skills that you have to train yourself over and over to master. After all, you are dealing with actual lives.

3. What Was The Hardest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

The hardest part of nursing school is memorizing a lot of information in a short time and keeping them stuck in your mind. Because of the amount of information, you will feel like you won’t be able to do it, especially when the information feels very similar. Sometimes there is information that is so close to each other and sometimes they will be the same. For instance, the signs and symptoms of some diseases in the same system or the side effects of specific medications, etc.

4. What Was The Easiest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

For me, the easiest part was improving my communication skills. This is one of the most important skills to have to be a competent nurse. For example, how to communicate with your patients, how to understand their complaints, their concerns, their pain and how to educate them about their conditions.

5. What Is Your Advice For Someone Who Is Pursuing This Dive And Level?

Procrastination and cramming are your enemies. It won’t work well if you keep these habits. These two bad habits will make nursing harder and harder on you, because as I told you before, nursing knowledge is so vast that it won’t stick inside your head unless you take a sip of nursing slowly every day, not all in one day at the same time. If you cram, while you may pass your exam, soon after, your brain will forget all the information that you memorized, and then you won’t be a good nurse.

6. What Are Some Of The Best Resources You Recommend to Those Pursuing This Dive At This Level, And Why Do You Recommend Them? Please Include Relevant Weblinks, If Applicable.

Nurseslabs taught me how to solve my S.O.B.E.S and care plans — the reports that nurses create after interviewing their patients.

Quizlet and Lecturio helped with a lot of questions for my nursing international exam.

7. Tell Us A Story Of One Of Your Adventures While Pursuing This Dive (At This Level).

Nursing wasn’t the profession that I dreamed of in my life. I didn’t care about anything at the beginning of my studies. I wasn’t even studying and my grades nearly touched the ground. I hated myself because of this.

However, one day, when I was in the hospital for the first time, my doctor assigned me my first case.

When I was in the room with the patient, I felt like he needed me. I felt like I was too selfish to not care about this patient, and so I did my best to help.

When I finished my assignment with him and saw him smiling at me, I felt the world had turned completely. That was an amazing feeling.

After that, I fell in love with my nursing profession!

8. What Evidence Did You Submit to Prove You Met the Requirements for This Dive and Level?

The Break Diving dive committee has seen and confirmed my report card from my university for my nursing school studies here in Jordan.

9. Will You Be Pursuing The Next Level For This Dive? If Yes, Why? If Not, Why Not?

Sure, I will continue my nursing journey, because nursing changed my life in many ways. Nursing is a worthy humanitarian job that will fulfill you and make you happy. You will save many lives throughout your journey and with this career. You can stand up for patient rights, defending them from being treated in ignorance.
